These release notes describe new features changes and bug fixes in the Zylinc 6.5u4.2 product suite compared with previous versions.

The Zylinc 6.5u4.2 product suite consists of:

  • Single-tenant platform:

    • Attendant Console

    • Contact Center

    • Service Center

    • Team Center (previously known as Employee Assistant or Operator)

    • Team Center for Web (previously known as Employee Assistant for Web or Web Operator)

    • Mobile

In cases where the Zylinc product suite is mentioned, information is relevant for all products listed in the previous.

The Zylinc 6.5u4.2 release is a minor release, that is you don't need to upgrade all your modules. Please read release notes for version 6.5:

Where it’s indicated, the described change/feature was available; if nothing is indicated, the feature is available in version 6.5u4.2 and onwards.

Important new features in this release

Administration Portal

  • Introducing new phone type Avaya

  • New setting Show Device Status in BroadWorks User Proxy settings

  • New setting Skillbased Routing in Clients > General Settings > Queue Default Settings

Android and iOS app

BroadWorks

  • Click to dial support for BroadWorks phones

Cisco User Proxy

  • This new module now incorporates both Directory Sync and User Proxy functions

Client Access Service

  • New module for the Client API

  • Currently only mandatory for using the new Zylinc Mobile app

Client Manager

  • Introduced changes to support Avaya phone types

  • Number of callbacks for a particular end user now indicated in ZyDesk

  • If configured in the Administration Portal, the BroadWorks device state may now be rendered

Forwarding Activity Server

  • Added support for Avaya phone types

  • This module replaces the Activity Server and Forwarding Server modules

Identity Server

  • New module for authentication

  • Currently only mandatory for using the new Zylinc Mobile app

Queue Manager

  • Added support for Avaya phone types

Multiple bugs have been fixed from the earlier releases up to the 6.5u4.2 release. We recommend that you look at the bugs created on the Zylinc support system to see in which version the given bug was corrected. All versions of the modules are compatible with earlier versions (if still supported).

Important bug fixes

Administration Portal

  • Cannot save forwarding department Special Rules policies

  • Upgraded SQL drivers to support AlwaysOn Availability Groups

  • Minor updates to some help texts

  • Announcement recordings: Copy to custom announcements may fail in some circumstances

  • Further performance improvements for larger installations

  • Can now enter number in E.164 format in System > Client Configuration: Call control > Dial Out - Caller ID

  • ZySwitch Diversion header is missing

  • Logging improvements

  • Callback can be invoked even when disabled, if queue IVR enabled

Authentication Server

  • Base DN ignored when secure LDAP used
  • Corrected LDAP binding to use DN

Client Manager

  • Issues with hanging agents after transferring from selvbetjening.nu

  • Not possible to dial callback numbers

  • Reason codes sorted alphabetically, regardless of order defined in Administration Portal

  • Record button missing in ZyDesk when Apresa selected

  • Agents not really logged off the system when shutting down ZyDesk

  • Agent may be offered a call when already handling a call

  • Agent may be left hanging after performing attended transfers

  • Wrap up time set on voice queue not respected

  • Agent may be offered a call when handling an email

  • Can now see ZyDesk version in the queue manager configurator (again)

Deployment Manager

  • Clientless agents can't log in

Email Queue Handler

  • Incorrect mail sent time when handling mail from e-mail queues

Exchange Sync WS

  • Exception when reading exchange users from database

Forwarding Activity Server

  • Calendar (absence)-based forwarding occasionally not being set

Identity Server

  • Corrected issues when using LDAP authentication

Lync User Proxy

  • Reintroduced support for on-premise UCWA

  • Multiple issues corrected for presence with Office365

Statistics Portal

  • Users with Statistics Portal Access and View All Users privileges could not see other queues/users

  • Updated Swedish language tokens

Switch image aconf

  • Added ZySwitch Diversion headers to failover forwarding

Switch image AdminCLI

  • System time on switch server appears to drift due to a failed NTP daemon start

  • Changing the admin password had no effect

ZyData Service

  • Problems with malfunctioning queue alarms

ZyDesk

  • Unable to make external calls without E.164 prefix

  • Auto search when calls enter a queue modified

  • Chrome will be used (if installed) when launching third-party chat solution

  • Potential Navision lookup failures when spaces used-. Now entire command should be enclosed in quotes

  • ZyDesk not respecting the setting to set ZyDesk in focus

  • Record button missing when Apresa selected

  • Digit collection disappears for callbacks

  • ZyDesk may crash when opening calendars for certain users

  • Additional correction for: digits in dial window not cleared after use

  • Jabra Pro 9460 phone/headset not on-hooked when call cleared

  • Callaction Incoming triggered even though phone is forwarded

  • Further updates related to Jabra headsets

Zylinc support for Microsoft products follows Microsoft Product Lifecycle as described here:

Typically, when a Microsoft product has passed “Mainstream Support End Date,” it should no longer be expected to be supported by Zylinc solutions (although exceptions exist). This also includes products that Zylinc does not directly integrate with, such as Microsoft Office Excel, etc. For some Microsoft products, such as Internet Explorer, the End of Support date differs for different Operating Systems:

In these cases, Zylinc support should no longer be expected when none of the supported operating systems are listed in the Zylinc hardware recommendations.
