These release notes describe new features changes and bug fixes in the Zylinc 6.5 product suite compared with previous versions.

The Zylinc 6.5 product suite consists of:

  • Single-tenant platform

  • Attendant Console

  • Contact Center

  • Service Center

  • Web Operator

  • Mobile Operator

  • Mobile Agent

In cases where the Zylinc product suite is mentioned, information is relevant for all products listed in the previous.

The Zylinc 6.5 release is a major, that is you need to upgrade all your modules. Please read release notes for version 6.0u4:

The following features are new in this version of the Zylinc product suite.

Administration Portal

  • Sip User Proxy settings converted to support multiple providers

  • Added Telia Finland as a Gateway Service in Messaging settings

  • Moved survey settings from Clients > General Settings to System > Switch

  • Exchange Sync settings page updated

  • Added new SIP trunk parameters

  • Adding BroadWorks Personal Assistant codes to Zylinc Activity Templates

  • BroadWorks OCI-P settings added to BroadWorks Settings page

  • Introducing Client Manager SSL connection settings on System > Client, Mobile & Web page

  • Settings for Callback IVR introduced on Client Settings page

  • Extended the Queue Alarm settings to support new threshold limits

  • GDPR introduced under System

  • CRM lookup for chat and email queues

Authentication Server

  • Added support for secure LDAP

BroadWorks

  • Added support for OCI-P

  • Calendar-based forwarding - do not disturb setting

Callback

  • Callback feature on queues now supported by the voice queue members and the iOS and Android clients

Client Access Service

  • New module for the Client API (new API framework and documentation):

  • Click-to-dial function for Cisco and BroadWorks users introduced:

  • Added support for Apresa recording in the Administration Portal

  • Added new SIP headers in signaling to support recording of queues

  • Added #51 DTMF for recording on-demand in ZyDesk

SIP User Proxy

  • Added ability to handle multiple providers

Statistics Portal

  • Added audit logs version 1

Switch Image

  • Includes AdminCLI v5.11, aconf v7.23, flavor-329, en_3.02, da_3.01, jre-8u171, tomcat 8.5.31

Tunneling Server

  • Removed support for use of internal softphone

ZyDesk

  • New ZyDesk introduced 7.0+

  • Queue component redesigned

  • Agent overview redesigned

  • Spell checker now available when handling e-mail queues

  • New availability icon on ZyDesk when minimized.

  • CRM lookup for chat and e-mail queues.

Call lookup

  • Support for e-mail and chat lookup configurable from the queues

Call ID lookup

  • Support from ID lookup for external databases

Queue features

  • In-queue IVR is configurable for all queues

  • Keep queue time when transferring to other queues introduced as new global setting

Multiple bugs have been fixed from the earlier releases up to the 6.5 release. We recommend that you look at the bugs created on the Zylinc support system to see in which version the given bug was corrected. All versions of the modules are compatible with earlier versions (if still supported).

Administration Portal

  • Help text for historical routing limit on queues updated (bug 24606)

  • BroadWorksUserProxy fails to start when Prefer Selective CallForwarding is selected (bug 25455)

  • Help text for Client Manager on Interfaces page corrected (bug 25909)

Client Manager

  • Multiple updates to support the new ZyDesk 7.x

  • Further performance and robustness improvements

Directory Server

  • CSV organization import only memberships of users in the deepest leaves imported (bug 24511)

Mobile presence

  • Line OutOfService event not updated in ZyDesk (bug 26974)

ZyDesk

  • Multiple corrections implemented from the 6.0 line

Zylinc support for Microsoft products follows Microsoft Product Lifecycle as described here:

Typically, when a Microsoft product has passed “Mainstream Support End Date,” it should no longer be expected to be supported by Zylinc solutions (although exceptions exist). This also includes products that Zylinc does not directly integrate with, such as Microsoft Office Excel, etc. For some Microsoft products, such as Internet Explorer, the End of Support date differs for different Operating Systems:

In these cases, Zylinc support should no longer be expected when none of the supported operating systems are listed in the Zylinc hardware recommendations.
