Version 6.5u4.14
Release date 30 March 2020

These release notes describe new features changes and bug fixes in the Zylinc 6.5u4.14 product suite compared with previous versions.

The Zylinc 6.5u4.14 release is a minor release, that is you don't need to upgrade all your modules. Please read release notes for version 6.5:
Where it’s indicated, the described change/feature was available; if nothing is indicated, the feature is available in version 6.5u4.14 and onwards.
Users get the software from their Zylinc partner.
If you have Zylinc partner credentials, you can download all new updates from:

Recurring absence appointments
- When you create absence appointments in ZyDesk, it's now possible to set up recurring rules on a daily, weekly, or bi-weekly basis. The recurring absence appointment rules are mainly added in order to extend the scheduled forwarding capabilities for a user (part of the Zylinc Forwarding Activity Server).
- In the absence dialog, it's now also possible to select all existing absence appointments in order to delete all of them. This can be useful if you use the new recurring absence appointment feature, where the list of existing absence appointments can be very long.

Multiple bugs have been fixed from the earlier releases up to the 6.5u4.14 release. We recommend that you look at the bugs created on the Zylinc support system to see in which version the given bug was corrected. All versions of the modules are compatible with earlier versions (if still supported).
Important bug fixes
Administration Portal
-
Fixed issue where the device ID setting in the User (Operator) section of the User/Agent configuration page in the Administration Portal showed an empty ID instead of the configured ID value.
Switch Image aConf v7.59+ and CoreDB Database 18.168+ are mandatory.
Deployment Manager
-
New StatDB database update version 6.9.57.
-
Fixed issue where a full month data export in the standard Statistics Portal was offset by one day, resulting in covering the period last day of previous month and second last day of selected month. Bug: 30075.
-
Fixed issue where exporting today's data in the standard Statistics Portal returned yesterday's data. Bug: 30075.
-
- New CoreDB database update version 18.168.
- Fixed issue where an agent was able to view statistics on queues in the standard Statistics Portal without being assigned the queue owner access level. Bug: 26823.
- Fixed issue where a queue owner wasn't able to view statistics in the standard Statistics Portal on queues without also being a queue member (agent). Bug: 26823.
- Fixed issue where the Allow User Overwrite setting in the Agent configuration page of the Administration Portal was ignored. Bug: 30105.
StatDB update from versions older that 6.9.55 may take some time depending on the database size.
Statistics Portal
- Fixed issue where, when call event history was launched in ZyDesk, the standard Statistics Portal opened an empty page if the user wasn't already authenticated in the standard Statistics Portal. Now, if the user isn't already logged in, the user will be redirected to the login page, and the correct call event history page will then be displayed. Bug: 30074.
ZyDesk
- Fixed issue where, when using Sennheiser headsets, and the Sennheiser headset setting was selected in the ZyDesk audio devices settings, it wasn't possible to answer a ringing call within ZyDesk without having the agent configured using the call offering feature. Bug: 30008.
- Fixed issue where, when using Sennheiser headsets, the Sennheiser headset setting was always re-selected in the ZyDesk audio devices settings after an application restart. A new setting, Disable Sennheiser call control buttons, has been added in the ZyDesk audio devices settings. When you select the new setting, it disables the Sennheiser headset control buttons, which makes it possible to answer calls in ZyDesk when you use a Sennheiser headset. This new setting was added because Sennheiser headsets can't be controlled remotely with the latest Sennheiser APIs (the errors have been reported to Sennheiser, and a fix is pending a new release of the APIs from Sennheiser). Bug: 30008.
- Fixed issue where occasionally some DTMF digits weren't sent if you used the keypad component in ZyDesk. Bug: 29978.

Zylinc support for Microsoft products follows Microsoft Product Lifecycle as described here:
Typically, when a Microsoft product has passed “Mainstream Support End Date,” it should no longer be expected to be supported by Zylinc solutions (although exceptions exist). This also includes products that Zylinc does not directly integrate with, such as Microsoft Office Excel, etc. For some Microsoft products, such as Internet Explorer, the End of Support date differs for different operating systems:
In these cases, Zylinc support should no longer be expected when none of the supported operating systems are listed in the Zylinc hardware recommendations.
Zylinc support of Cisco call manager follows supports the lifecycle of Cisco, which is described here:
Zylinc support for Avaya Aura follows the Avaya product life cycle which is described here:
