Status of BroadWorks hoteling users who haven't selected a host

If your organization uses BroadWorks, and your users also use hoteling (a form of free seating), users who've not selected a host (that is a phone in hoteling terminology) will—provided that Zylinc clients display users' line states—by default be displayed with a line state as if they were present.

However, you can select to display those users with a different status icon that indicates the fact that they haven't selected a phone:

  1. In the Administration Portal menu, select NETWORK > BroadWorks Internetworking
  2. Scroll down to the User Proxy (Presence) section, and select Show device status
  3. Click Save

In ZyDesk clients, like Zylinc Attendant Console, Contact Center, and Service Center, do the following:

  1. In the client's top menu, select File > Time Preferences
  2. Make sure that Hide disconnected icon is cleared
  3. Click OK

To display line state information in ZyDesk clients, right-click the Time overview's header row, and select Line State.
