Backup and restore procedure

Zylinc recommends that you use virtual servers for Zylinc Windows Application Server, and for Media Server.

Use a backup agent for the virtualization platform, to create regular backups of the virtual servers.

For the databases on MS SQL Server, use a backup agent for MS SQL Server to create regular backups of the databases.

If an error situation occurs, and your Zylinc solution stops to work at an acceptable level, you can use the backups to restore the system.

Do the following to restore the backups:

  1. Restore the virtual servers from the latest backup of the virtualization platform
  2. Restore the databases from the latest MS SQL Server backups
  3. Restart Zylinc servers
