Install and enable ASP .NET features

This information is primarily for administrators and/or people who manage Zylinc solutions

1. On the server, click /Start, and select Server Manager.

2. In the Server Manager's navigation pane, select Dashboard, and then, on the dashboard, select Add roles and features.

3. In the Add Roles and Features Wizard, click Next.

4. On the Select installation type page, select Role-based or feature-based installation, and click Next.

5. On the Select destination server page, select Select a server from the server pool, select your server from the Server Pool list, and click Next.

6. On the Select server roles page, select Web Server (IIS).

   • If the Add features that are required for Web Server (IIS)? dialog appears, click Add Features.

   When ready, click Next.

7. On the Select features page, expand .NET Framework [version], and then select ASP.NET [version].

   Expand WCF Services, and then select HTTP Activation.

8. In the Add features that are required for HTTP Activation? dialog, click Add Features.

   You'll get these features:

   • ASP.NET
   • ISAPI Extensions
   • ISAPI Filters
   • .NET Extensibility

9. If .NET Framework 3.5 is installed, expand the .NET Framework 3.5 Features node, and select HTTP Activate.

   If the Add features that are required for ASP.NET 3.5 dialog appears, click Add Features.

   You'll get these features:

   • .NET Framework 3.5 (including .NET 2.0 and 3.0)
   • .NET Extensibility 3.5

10. Back on the Select Features page, click Next.

11. On the Web Server Role (IIS) page, click Next.

12. On the Select role services page, select the following:

    • Common HTTP Features
      • Default Document
      • Default Browsing
      • HTTP Errors
      • Static Content
    • Security
      • Request Filtering
      • Windows Authentication
    • Application Development
      • .NET Extensibility 3.5 (if .NET Framework 3.5 is installed)
      • .NET Extensibility 4.5, 4.60, or 4.70
      • ASP.NET 3.5 (if .NET Framework 3.5 is installed)
      • ASP.NET 4.5, 4.60, or 4.70
      • ISAPI Extensions
      • ISAPI Filters
    • Management Tools (optional)
      • IIS Management Console (optional)

    When ready, click Next.

13. On the Confirm installation selections page, click Install.

14. When your installation is complete, click Close.

15. To verify that the web server has been installed correctly, open a browser and go to http://localhost

    The default IIS website should open.
