These release notes describe new features, changes, and bug fixes in the Zylinc 6.5u4.20 release.

In cases where the Zylinc product suite is mentioned, information is relevant for all products.

The Zylinc 6.5u4.20 release is a minor release, that is you don't need to upgrade all your modules. Please read release notes for version 6.5:

Where it’s indicated, the described change/feature was available; if nothing is indicated, the feature is available in version 6.5u4.20 and onwards.

Users get the software from their Zylinc partner.

This release does not include any new features.

Multiple bugs have been fixed from the earlier releases up to the 6.5u4.20 release. We recommend that you look at the bugs created on the Zylinc support system to see in which version the given bug was corrected. All versions of the modules are compatible with earlier versions (if still supported).

Important bug fixes

ZyDesk didn't save distribution mode upon restart

  • When ZyDesk was configured to start up in Automatic mode, the distribution mode was set to Manual when starting up ZyDesk again. Bug: 30218.

Active calls put on hold when using Plantronics Hub

  • When agents used Plantronics Hub headsets, calls were in some scenarios put on hold immediately after they were answered. Bug: 30296.

Missing ringtones when using BroadWorks phone device

  • When using a BroadWorks phone as agent device, no ringtone was played when a call was offered to the agent. Bug: 30355.

Agent personal queue not based on last redirection

  • When a call was forwarded from one agent to another, and the call should be transferred to the agent's personal queue, the call would be transferred to the first agent's personal queue instead of the last agent receiving the call. This has been corrected, so the last processing agent will get the call in their personal queue. Bug: 30308.

Agent SIP trunk not used as VQM agent

  • When logging in as a VQM agent, the configured agent-specific SIP trunk wasn't used. Bug: 30320.

Forwarded Skype for Business calls displayed wrong B-number in ZyDesk

  • When a call was forwarded from a Skype for Business user, the to-number (B-number) displayed in ZyDesk was the Skype for Business forward destination number and not the original called number. Bug: 30325.

BroadWorks Department groups had no members

  • When synchronizing BroadWorks directory departments to Zylinc groups, the groups didn't have any members. Bug: 30246.

BroadWorks Call-Center groups had no members

  • When synchronizing BroadWorks Call-Center groups, the groups didn't have any members. Bug: 29878.

Skype for Business presence not working after DNS resolution failure

  • When retrieving Skype for Business presence using UCWA, presence wasn't updated if the Skype for Business server DNS resolution failed, without restarting the service. The service will now recover and fetch presence automatically when DNS can be resolved again. Bug: 30258.

Minor updates to German, Norwegian, and Swedish language tokens

  • The German (DE), Norwegian (NO), and Swedish (SV) language tokens have been updated.

    Requires the following package updates:

    • Language token 89614 (Deployment manager 2.1.257)

Private appointments/meetings from Exchange showed participants

  • In ZyDesk, private appointments/meetings from Exchange could show other participants, which should not be allowed. Bug: 30309.

Statistics database performance improved

  • On large installations, the statistics database (StatDB) couldn't always store new statistical information quickly enough, which could lead to statistics being behind current time. The statistics database has been improved to ensure that data can be stored immediately.

    Updating StatDB to latest version may take several minutes.

Zylinc support for Microsoft products follows Microsoft Product Lifecycle as described here:

Typically, when a Microsoft product has passed “Mainstream Support End Date,” it should no longer be expected to be supported by Zylinc solutions (although exceptions exist). This also includes products that Zylinc does not directly integrate with, such as Microsoft Office Excel, etc. For some Microsoft products, such as Internet Explorer, the End of Support date differs for different operating systems:

In these cases, Zylinc support should no longer be expected when none of the supported operating systems are listed in the Zylinc hardware recommendations.
