Search in your Web Agent
Zylinc Web Agent is an upcoming product. Zylinc Web Agent hasn't been released yet, but you'll be able to get it soon.
Use the search field in your Web Agent to find a specific person, room or resource. You can search for most properties, including names, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers.
The moment you begin to type, your Web Agent automatically filters content in the View people, resources, and availability in your Web Agent to match your search.

By default, your search results will not only consist of names that march your search. Your search results may also contain people or resources with other properties that match your search.
Example: If you search for Mark, your search results will include people named Mark, but they may also include people with other names who work in the Marketing team.
If you get too many search results, you can limit you search in two ways:
-
Select a category: Before you write your search terms, click
in the right part of the search field, and select the category that you want to search in.
Example: If you select the name category, and then search for Mark, your search results will only include people with Mark in their name.
You can also combine multiple categories. You don't need to click
to access category selection. To speed up things, you can also just type : (that's a colon) in the search field, and then select your category.
-
Select a group: A group is a set of people or resources. For example, a group can represent people with special skills, people at certain locations, or it can represent a particular type of resources, such as all meeting rooms that have a projector. It's your administrator who defines which types of groups you use in your organization.
To limit your search to a particular group, click the group selector, and select the required group.
When you select a group, the availability overview automatically updates, so that it only shows content that matches your group selection. If you then search, you'll limit your search results further within the selected group.
When you don't need the group to limit your search anymore, remember to select All groups again. Otherwise your next search will also be limited to the group.

When you enter multiple search terms, you typically separate them with spaces. That'll get you results that match at least one of your search terms.
Example: Karen Sales Berlin finds results that match either Karen OR Sales OR Berlin. That's a broad search, and you're likely to get a lot of results: people named Karen, people who work in Sales, plus people who live or work in Berlin.
If you instead separate your search terms with commas, you'll only get results that match all of your search terms.
Example: Karen, Sales, Berlin finds results that match Karen AND Sales AND Berlin. That's a narrow search: you're likely to only get people named Karen who work in Sales in Berlin.
You can also combine spaces and commas.
Example: Karen, Sales Marketing finds everyone who matches Karen AND Sales OR Karen AND Marketing. That could be useful if you're not sure whether Karen works in Sales or Marketing.

Use _ (that's an underscore) in a search term to replace a character with a wildcard.
Example: If you search for Mar_in, the fourth letter is ignored. Search results could be Martin, Marvin, etc.

You can use keyboard shortcuts to speed up things when you search.
For an overview of all such shortcuts, click in the top right corner of your Web Agent, and then select Shortcuts.

Have you selected a specific group in the group selector to the right of the search field?
If that's the case, your search is automatically limited to people and resources within that group, like in this example where your search would be limited to rooms only:
Make sure that you select All groups, and then try to search again.

The search field also serves another purpose: It's where you can enter digits when you're going to call someone's phone number.
To use the field to enter digits, click the toggle button in the left side of the field.
You can then enter a number and call it.
