Set up single sign-on and agent queue subscription
If you complete the following steps, you'll get:
-
Single sign-on so that users can log in to Zylinc with their e-mail addresses and Active Directory (AD) passwords
- An AD group to control who'll be created as ZyDesk agents and be able to receive calls from a specific Zylinc queue

-
In the Administration Portal menu, select SYSTEM > Interface Configuration
-
In Authentication, LDAP Url, enter ldap://<domain controller address>:389/
Example: ldap://dc01:389/
Note that the URL starts with ldap:// and not http://
-
In Authentication, LDAP System User, enter User Principal Name of the sync user. A User Principal Name (UPN) is the name of a system user in an e-mail address format, or in another format that looks like an e-mail address, where the suffix is the DNS name of the domain.
Example: ZylincSyncSVC@domain.local
-
In Authentication, Password, enter the password of the sync user

- In the Administration Portal menu, select SYSTEM > Client Configuration
- In ZyDesk - Installation & Access, select Auto Create User

- In the Administration Portal menu, select USERS > ZyDesk Profiles
- Click a profile, of the type Attendant Console, Contact Center, or Service Center, that supports agents
- Add group ZylincTestQueue1000 to Included

- In the Administration Portal menu, select QUEUES > Voice Queues
- Click TestQueue1000
- Click USERS (in the top right corner)
- Add group ZylincTestQueue1000 to Primary

- In the Administration Portal menu, select USERS > ZyDesk Users
- Click ZylincAgent1
- In Agent - Incoming Calls, Device, clear Default
- In Agent - Incoming Calls, Device, select Internal
- In User (Operator), Device, clear Default
- In User (Operator), Device, select Internal
- Click Save

To make sure that ZyDesk softphone SIP registration accounts use up-to-date information from AD, you'll need to update their configuration.
- In the Administration Portal menu, select INSTALL > Database
- Click Rewrite Config
- Click OK
If you move agent users who use ZyDesk softphones to another organizational unit in the future, you may also need to rewrite config for ZyDesk softphones to register properly.

-
Hold down CTRL and start ZyDesk.
-
IEnter the e-mail address of ZylincAgent1.
Example: ZylincAgent1@domain.local
-
Enter the AD password for ZylincAgent1.
In this case, you can’t use the non-AD ZyDesk password. The actual password is Password1 (from AD) and not password (from the Zylinc database).
-
ZyDesk should start up without errors.
-
In the ZyDesk menu, select Actions > Administer Queues. You should be subscribed to TestQueue1000.
-
Optionally, use MicroSIP to make a test call to TestQueue1000, and make sure that you can answer the call.
